Your chance to get a 10 ! Week 2;26th September-European Day of Languages

http://edl.ecml.at/LanguageFun/Selfevaluateyourlanguageskills/tabid/2194/language/en-GB/Default.aspx

The 'Self-evaluate your language skills' game helps you to assess your level of proficiency in the languages you know according to six reference levels defined within the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.(CEFR). The scale of reference, developed within the Council of Europe's CEFR in 2001, is recognised as a European standard for grading an individual's language proficiency and is widely used within national language education systems, in certification and by employers.

When answering the questions within the application please remember that this is a self-assessment procedure and the results only reflect a part of your skills and that this is a game! Only you know what you can really do with your languages.

I would like you to write down a message for the celebration of the European Day of Languages.Your work, if good, will be graded accordingly .

Deadline 26.09.2010 ; 10.00 pm

  1. Hi, dear teacher!

Another interesting post on our blog: The European Day of Languages and, with it, another cool test.

The European Day of Languages is celebrated on the 26th September and it reminds people the different languages which are spoken in this big world.

In Europe a lot of languages are spoken: French, English, Romanian, Italian, Russian, German and maaaaaaaaany others. I think it's important to learn and to speak more languages because, for example, when you go on a trip abroad, you should be able to understand the people in that country and to communicate with them. Furthermore, nowadays it has been proved that knowing two foreign languages is not enough any more, people tend to learn and speak three or more foreign languages.

About the test: I think it's nice and interesting (like the others that our teacher has prepared for us so far).
    Thank you, teacher!
